Vice Commodore Mike Capra has been boating on the Hudson River since he was a teenager. Mike and Jackie Joined the PYC back in 2003 and enjoy their 30 ft Chris craft as their 4th vessel, and probably not the last, with their children and grand kids. Family trips from the Long Island Sound to the Vermont shores have been their family vacations for many years. Mike brings his skills as an executive with NYS to the club in hopes to take our club to the next level through long term planning and updating the PYC constitution. Mike is also a travel lift operator and enjoys assisting members hauling and launching their boats. Hears hoping the we all have a safe enjoyable and blessed boating season!

Tim and his wife Tory have been members of the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club for over 10 years. They enjoy sailing their Pearson 26 on the River. Tim and Tory have sailed in the British Virgin Islands and near Vancouver Island, British Columbia in sailing flotillas. Tim also enjoys being a bartender at PYC and has hosted special events focusing on distilled spirits - a Bourbon Tasting dinner and "Manhattans on the Hudson".

Ernie joined the PYC in 1974 and has been the Roads and Equipment chair for over two decades. Ernie has provided an endless number of improvements to the club, including the machinery and grounds. He has been invaluable in keeping the club running smoothly and oversees the safety of our fleet as we launch and haul each season.

Ernie also is the PYC's Mohawk Hudson Council Representative and has been active in Mid-Hudson Power Squadron where he has served as Commander.

Ernie's sailing interests date back to 1959 and in the following years has sailed everything from sunfish to schooners, Hobie Cats to Dovekie’s. He has sailed in waters from Nova Scotia to Key West and is currently sailing a Nordica 20 a 21’ Dovekie.

Amanda is a newer member who has stepped up to serve the BoD.
