Rear Commodore, Rudy Colich
John Menghini, Fleet Captain
John has been been a member of the PYC for a relatively short time but has been able to apply his love of D.I.Y. with the moorings and docks team. Additionally there has not been a problem finding plenty of projects around the club needing attention as he is always willing to lend a hand to other boaters.
Being a keen sailor he welcomes members to join him for a sail, to exchange ideas and expertise or crewing on their boat be it power or sail.

Scott works on the Hudson River as a commercial ship pilot and spends his spare time hanging out and helping around the PYC. Romaine & Scott love the social gatherings at the club, the boating activities, and the wonderful friendships they've developed since joining the PYC family.
Board Trusteeand Former Commodore
Nancy Fritz, Financial Secretary
Nancy and Richard bought a 25' Catalina sailboat and joined the PYC in 2001. She has been more active as the demands of her time by family shift. Over the years you could see her helping at docks in and out, regattas, cleaning the house and patio chairs, decorating for social functions and painting marker buoys for the mooring team. She has been the Participation Chairperson and is taking on the challenge of the Financial Secretary. She and her husband recently bought a 30' Catalina sailboat for cruising and sailing to distant waters. They have taken safety, navigation and engine classes to prepare. All these skills were useful on the 2015 trip to Shelter Island. She has discovered kayaking and enjoys seeing the river from a whole new perspective.
David Jones, Finance Director
"Carol and I have been a part of the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club for 3 years. I have learned more about boating here cooking over the grills, traveling with other boaters and sharing in conversations around the clubhouse, becoming friends with many of the members here. I am excited to serve on the Financial Board and look forward to a long-term membership here at Poughkeepsie Yacht Club."
